Supporting Act Funding

We are very pleased to announce that The DisOrdinary Architecture Project has won two years funding from The Supporting Act Foundation. This is an Impact Grant that helps artist-led grassroots organisations who use arts for social change, particularly by under-represented groups. What is amazing is that these grants are unrestricted, aimed at supporting organisational and development needs.

Because DisOrdinary Architecture was set up as an informal platform that works on a project-by-project basis, we have always struggled with all the background activities that keep an organisation going – whether development strategy and planning, project management and progress chasing, bookkeeping and accounts, or communications and outreach. So, we are very grateful that we can now support these as paid activities.

Most immediately the funding will enable us to work with our advisory board to develop a plan for the future, as well as catching up on some administrative and communications stuff.
